After facing fierce competition at the MoneyAge Awards 2023 in London last week (12th October), we are delighted to announce that Chorley Building Society has won ‘Later Life Lender of the Year’. This award celebrates the amazing work by our team in supporting Members who will be aged 70 or over at the end of their mortgage term.
The MoneyAge Awards showcase financial providers, including banks and building societies, which have proved themselves to be ahead of the game in the field of consumer finance, and the Later Life Lender of the Year award celebrates lenders that have demonstrated ‘a true understanding of this area of the market, a sensitivity to the needs of its clients and a keen interest in improving this area of personal finance.’
Stephen Penlington, Chief Executive Officer at Chorley Building Society said: “We pride ourselves in how we understand the later-life market, and take a genuine interest in our Members’ individual circumstances. We are all extremely proud to add another accolade to our collection and hope to continue to build on this.”
The Society’s Head of Business Development, Stuart Bryce, and Head of Marketing, Clare Mahood, were there to collect the trophy on behalf of the Society. Stuart commented: “It’s always a pleasure and honour to be recognised for the hard work that goes on at Chorley Building Society. We’re proud of our range of products and support for the later-life demographic, and this award is for the relentless efforts of our team. We faced some tough competition, which makes it even more rewarding to come out on top.”
