Our Commitment to Accessibility
We want all Members to be able to access our services and have a great experience with us. We're committed to making our branches, communications and website as accessible and inclusive as possible.
We regularly review our services to make sure that they meet the needs of all our Members. We understand everyone’s needs are different, so please get in touch and we’ll do our best to support you. Our friendly team are here to help and are always open to feedback.
Hard of Hearing
We can adjust to your needs so please let us know if we can do anything to make your visit easier for you. We are able to use BT's Relay UK system to aid customers who are hard of hearing (see section on Relay UK below). |
Wheelchair Access
All branches are at floor level for easy entry. We're happy to offer additional support during your visit if needed. Our Key House Branch has parking onsite and disabled parking spaces available.

Carers
Some customers have carers who support them during their visit. Our branch teams can offer support to both carers and members.

Power of Attorney
Sometimes, you might want someone you trust to help manage your money. A Power of Attorney (POA) lets another person act on your behalf and support you with your accounts. We can accept and register a valid POA so your attorney can manage things for you. For more information on how to register a POA with us, please read our POA help sheet here. |
Visual Impairments
We offer all our letters in modified large print and some of our information can be prepared in Braille. If you would like either of these services please speak/ask a member of our team. Assistance dogs are welcome in our branches.

Longer Appointments
We offer longer appointments to talk through any concerns or questions you have. We also have private spaces available in our branches, if needed. You can call our friendly team on 01257 235 003 to arrange this in advance.

Video Appointments
We can offer any appointment as a video call, so you can meet with us from the comfort of your home.

3rd Party Withdrawal
If you need someone to withdraw money on your behalf, please get in touch and we'll talk you through the process.

What we've done
The majority of pages on this website aim to be accessible to Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) A.
Every effort has been made to comply with Priorities 1, 2 and 3 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as interpreted by the Web Team. This is always a judgement call, as not all accessibility features can be measured.
We've updated the use of colour on our website. This is to make sure we are meeting colour contrast requirements.
Added voice search functionality.
To aid the use of screen readers all pages on this website use structured semantic markup. H1 tags are used for main titles, H2 tags for subtitles.
This website does not rely on images and where used, a text alternative is provided.
Relay UK
We now have access to BT's Relay UK system. This facility is designed to assist customers who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech-impaired.
