2019 is a milestone year for Chorley Building Society and we’re incredibly proud of our heritage and our place in the local community over the last 160 years.
We’ve come a long way since the Society was founded in 1859 – the Society was founded in order to help local mill workers buy their homes. Since the Society’s formation, right through to today, we have built a solid foundation in the local community by making a difference to the lives of our members with our mortgages and savings products. We’ve helped our members to build their savings and buy their dream homes; and all the time we have remained true to our traditional, mutual values which the Society is built upon.
Throughout our birthday year, the Society will be engaging in numerous fund raising and community activities and we will continue to provide support for various local charities in the community. This year we’re supporting Rosemere Cancer Foundation as our chosen charity of the year and we have lots of activity planned throughout the year to raise funds for this amazing cause.
