At the end of last year, Chorley Building Society donated an incredible £5,000 to name a guide dog puppy.
The Society asked its social media users to name the guide dog puppy and the chosen name of the bundle of fluff was ‘Archie’! Well Archie is not so much of a puppy anymore – he is now 6 months old and we’ve just received a ‘Pupdate’ on what Archie has been getting up to.
Archie’s Puppy Walker John has been telling us how well Archie is doing with his training. They recently went on a trip to the beach together, where Archie loved playing in the sand and running into the sea. Apparently Archie does have his cheeky moments though……he likes to get up to mischief by chewing newspapers and jumping on the coffee table!!
Archie is making great progress with his training and the Chorley Building Society are so pleased to have the opportunity to support the excellent work which Guide Dogs does.
Siobhan Cullen, Community Fundraiser at Guide Dogs, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Chorley Building Society and all of the branch staff that have made this a possibility.
“These crucial funds can help bring independence into the life of somebody living with sight loss and you simply cannot place a value on that.”
We look forward to hearing what Archie has been up to over the next few months!
