STAYING COVID-19 SECURE IN 2020

The health and safety of our staff and members is of the utmost importance to us, that’s why we’ve put measures in place to keep both our members and staff safe.

We confirm we have complied with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19 Five steps to safer working together:

– We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with those who work here
– We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
– We have taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home
– We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace
– Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk

SOCIAL DISTANCING & HYGIENE

We’re practicing social distancing in all our branches and offices, so please be considerate if you are visiting. Please keep a safe social distance from our staff, contractors and other members. Please also abide by the hygiene rules displayed in the windows of all branches. Please do not enter our branches if you have any symptoms that could indicate you may have the virus.

HOME WORKING, SUPPORT AND SECURITY FOR OUR STAFF

We have deployed home working for all those who can work remotely. Where we work remotely, we adhere to the same confidentiality, privacy and security measures as when it is business as usual.

All staff remote working are asked to assess their work station and the Society supports everyone to make their home work station as safe as possible.

We are supporting all requests for flexible working where staff have a responsibility for children or dependents. We have assessed our most vulnerable staff and arranged remote working where possible.

We are not making any employment changes for those that work for the Society.

GUIDANCE

Our staff are provided with regularly updated measures they need to take to protect themselves against the virus on–site, the symptoms they need to look out for and the guidance on self-isolation and testing.

REMAINING VIGILANT AGAINST FRAUD

Unfortunately, there is evidence that criminals are attempting to use the pandemic as an exploitation opportunity. Please remain vigilant and stay alert and remember to verify any contact from financial organisations.
