Chorley Building Society has been named as the ‘Building Society of the Year’ at the Money Age Awards 2022. The Awards celebrate excellence, innovation, and professionalism in the personal finance industry.
Stephen Penlington, Chief Executive Officer at Chorley Building Society said: “It is truly an honour to be named as Building Society of the Year at the MoneyAge Awards. The awards showcase financial providers, which includes banks and building societies, which have proved themselves to be ahead of the game in the field of consumer finance. We are all extremely proud that we have won such a prestigious accolade.
“Although we have all been through challenging times, the Society is going from strength to strength with extremely strong end of year financial results. Throughout 2022, we have continued with our Chorley High Five initiative, our commitment to donate 5% of operating profit to local charities and community groups. It’s been fantastic to see so many benefit from our donations at a time when support is so needed.”
The annual awards took place at a ceremony in London and the Society’s Head of Business Development, Stuart Bryce, was there to collect the trophy on behalf of the Society. Stuart commented: “It’s such great achievement and I was honoured to pick up the award for The Chorley on the night. There were so many large national companies there, this award shows that even small organisations can truly make a difference. We will be displaying our trophy proudly at a head office in Chorley.”
