    This is an agreement from us to help you in your discussions around buying your new home.

  • 4: Get viewing!

    Time to step-up your home searching and viewings now that you know how much money you can borrow.

  • 5: Full mortgage application

    You’ll meet a Chorley Building Society mortgage adviser to fill in an application

  • 6: Speak to a lawyer

    We’ll help find a solicitor to assist your property purchase – this is called conveyancing.

  • 7: The survey

    A friendly, expert valuer will check the property you want to buy to see that it’s correctly priced for its condition.

  • 8: Offer & exchange of contracts

    If you’re eligible, we will offer you a mortgage. Then you swap legal contracts with the property seller (vendor). The sale is now bound by law.

  • 9: Completion

    The mortgage and property buying process is complete. Hurray! Move in and enjoy your new home.

Types of Mortgages

We offer a great range of mortgages suited to different needs. Our discounted mortgages typically offer discounts from the standard variable rate for the first few years – typically two or five years – to help you in the early period of home-ownership. We have mortgages for borrowers with limited deposits living in the north of England; and or professionals, such as accountants, doctors and surveyors.
