This role will provide telephone and administrative support to the underwriting team through actively managing the pipeline and workflow, ensuring service levels are achieved.

They will be a key point of contact to our mortgage intermediaries, ensuring the efficient packaging and processing of mortgage applications.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

·        Act as a telephone contact for our intermediaries.

·        Process mortgage Decision in Principle (DIP) requests from intermediaries within SLA.

·        Managing broker queries from the mailboxes as allocated.

·        Maintain an expert knowledge of the Society’s Lending Criteria.

·        Managing the workflow of Dips and Apps received from Broker Online and the mailboxes onto the team whiteboard.

·        Check applications when they are received to ensure all documentation is in the package and meets the requested requirements, and request missing documents if packages are not complete.

·        Managing the inflow of additional documents as they are received and place with application.

·        Provide support to the Underwriting team in their relationships with mortgage intermediaries.

·        Maintain professional business relationships with BDMs, mortgage introducers and external contacts, providing information and guidance when required.

·        Maintain knowledge and comply with all legal responsibilities and codes of conduct to which the Society must comply with i.e. Vulnerable Customers, AML, MCOB, DPA, FCA etc.

·        Escalate  any risk events and near misses to the Lending Management team upon identification

·        Carry out such other duties, which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities and expectations of the position.
