The Marketing Specialist will support the Head of Marketing with the Society’s exciting plans to grow the customer base and increase brand awareness.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing marketing initiatives and content, to drive brand awareness of Chorley Building Society.
Initially this role will concentrate on strengthening our Member Engagement through social media, digital communications, branch campaigns, PR and our Chorley High Five initiative. However, the role has potential to develop into other areas of marketing including market segmentation analysis, competitor analysis and digital paid ads.
The role is full time however, part time can be considered.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop a social media calendar of proactive posts to raise brand awareness and create reactive posts as required.
· Develop compelling and engaging email content to drive brand awareness of the Society and its products.
· Conceive and develop branch marketing material to promote the Society’s products and community initiatives.
· Research and develop articles for our Knowledge Hub.
· Develop and publish content for the website as required
· Seek PR opportunities and develop relationships with local media and trade publications
· Assess effectiveness of the marketing activity performed and report back on the successes and areas for improvement
· Work with appointed marketing agency on digital campaigns including paid ads and other opportunities.
Support our BDM team with organising marketing collateral and merchandise.
Technical skills, knowledge and experience requirements
· Marketing experience (2 years +)
· Knowledge of financial services is desirable but not essential
· Graphic design experience (Adobe suite) is desirable but not essential.
· Experience of Umbraco CMS is desirable but not essential.
· Excellent writing skills, with good proof-reading ability.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to engage and work in partnership with business stakeholders.
· Must have strong PC and Software skills which include Excel, Word and Power Point
· Able to focus on detail, be a good completer/finisher with and produce high quality deliverables.
· The ability to complete tasks using own judgement with good time management skills.
