Fund Raising for Christie Hospital in Manchester

Chorley Building Society is proud to support Christie Hospital which is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating more than 40,000 patients a year. They are making developments that are breaking new ground and transforming treatment and care for cancer patients.

The Christie is based in Manchester and serves a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around 26% patients are referred to them from other parts of the country.





The Society recently held a 'Glitz and Britz' gala event in aid of the Christie Hospital. Guests enjoyed a 4 course meal, an auction and a raffle along with live music, comedy acts and celebrity guests. The evening was a huge success and raised an impressive grand total of £6,776.00. Fund raising will continue throughout 2011 and we hope to hold many more events to support this very worthy cause.


Fund Raising for Help for Heroes

In recent months the staff and customers of Chorley Building Society have supported the charity Help for Heroes. The charity was set up to help wounded servicemen and women who have been injured in the line of duty and the money is raised by selling Help for Heroes stickers, wristbands, lapel pins and fridge magnets in the Society's branches.
