 | The Society has developed a partnership with Blackburn Rovers to offer a range of Affinity Accounts. The accounts generate a donation of 0.50%, this is calculated on the daily balance held in all the individual affinity accounts. |
The donation is given to Blackburn Rovers Youth Development in the Community annually on the 31st December. The Society was keen to develop this partnership as the money would be put back into the community for all ages and abilities to enjoy sport. Rovers will use the donation to assist them fund Youth Development in the Community, the areas that they offer this facility are:- Blackburn Morecambe Darwen & Hyndburn Ribble Valley Chorley South Ribble
The donation will help fund Soccer schools and schools teaching programmes in all the above areas. It also assists funding for children struggling at school as a department at Blackburn Rovers ground is set up to help these children learn through sport and football. Other areas that the donation will assist with are:- - Rovers Academy - boys and girls centre of excellence
- Adult, youth and ladies community sports leagues for football and netball etc.
- Senior citizens leagues
- Disability football
- Coaching clinics
- Local and national tournaments
